Career Course in BBA



Introduction: In the BBA program aims at developing a student's intellectual ability, executive personality and managerial skills through an appropriate blending of business and general education. The program assists the student in understanding and developing the unique leadership qualities required for successfully managing business functions, an organizational unit or an enterprise. The specific objectives of the program are to:
  • Produce up-to-date, assertive and effective executives for business and other organizations.
  • Prepare students for higher studies in business at home and abroad.
Career with BBA Degree: The BBA program prepares students for executive career in business and other organizations. The BBA degree is many a times referred to as the golden passport, since it gives its holder an edge in the job market by opening more doors of opportunity. The degree helps the graduate to fulfill potential for high earnings, increased responsibility, and greater personal development. The present decade has been labeled as the era of business, business administration and business graduates.
Course Overview: You will study the basics of commerce, trade and accountancy, along with elementary mathematics in the first year. Functional subjects like marketing and HR will be taught in the second year as well as computing subjects. Some colleges also have a mandatory internship. The final year lets you specialize in one or two functional areas.
Duration: 3 years, Eligibility: 10+2. Very few programs also demand prior knowledge of commerce for admissions.
Job Profiles: Sales Executive, Research Assistant, Office Executive, Officer and Asst Manager.
Pay Package: Salary varies from Rs 7,000 to Rs 23,000/- depending on the size of the firm.
Job Opportunities: A BBA gets you entry-level positions in many corporations and factories. You would do lot of backend work, and provide support services to your seniors. Exceptional candidates could expect to do some customer interface, though it is very rare. Also invariably, you would hit the glass ceiling very fast, and would require an MBA to move up the ladder.
